Kevin Bailey is following his passion by studying to be a high school English teacher. Kevin grew up in southern Connecticut, but has since moved to Green Lake, Maine. He contributes to campus by being a leader in his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE), and writing for the Maine Campus newspaper.
Kevin is working towards being endorsed to teach English as a second language. His career vision includes initially becoming a teacher of English, while eventually transitioning into an administrative role. Kevin would love a skullumni to help mentor him in his search for a position in his high school teaching role as well as the path to a high school administrator. Matt Ciampa is from York, Maine. He is a Financial Economics major with a Business Administration minor as well as a member of the Honor’s College. He is the Co-President of Spiffy [$1.3 million Student Portfolio Investment Fund], V.P. Finance for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Treasurer of the Class of 2010 Council, as well as the Treasurer for the Skulls Class of 2010. Last fall Matt, along with four other UMaine students, competed in the New England Investment Research Challenge, which entailed researching and writing an analyst report for a publicly traded company. Ever since returning from studying abroad in Germany during his sophomore year, he cannot wait to go back to Europe. Matt is proud to be a Senior Skull and looks forward to a great year with his Skull Brothers.
After graduation, he plans to work in finance for a few years before going back to school. Matt would appreciate insight from alumni on getting into the analyst side of finance. Matthew Donahue is a Public Management major with a minor in Spanish from Bangor, Maine. Matt is involved both on and off campus in a variety of settings. He is currently the President of Alpha Delta and the Vice President of the Class of 2010 Council. Matt also is a representative to the Off-Campus Board, sits on the Fair Elections Practices Commission, and is a member of the University's Student Conduct Code Committee. Outside of the University, Matt is heavily involved with volunteering for Little League Baseball and he sits on two citizen committees for the City of Bangor. Regardless of his busy schedule, you can count on finding Matt at UMaine hockey games in the Maine~iaks' section, or rooting on the Black Bears in other sports.
Matt is still unsure what he wants to pursue after graduation, but is considering working for a federal or state agency or furthering his education with a master's degree. You can contact Matt at matthew.donahue@umit.maine.edu.

David Hunter’s hometown is Unity, Maine. He is an Electrical Engineering major, with minors in both Mathematics and Business Administration. Currently, David is doing research in the Laboratory for Surface Science and Technology via an National Science Foundation grant at the University of Maine. In the past he has held positions as a TA for the EE department, and as an intern at Fairchild Semiconductor.
After he finishes his undergraduate education, he would like to pursue a Masters degree in Finance and Production and Operations Management and a PhD in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, or Illinois. Dustin Jalbert's hometown is Hermon, Maine, but he originally hails from northern Aroostook County. He is a double major in Political Science and Economics, with a minor in History. Dustin is the proud Secretary for the Class of 2010 Senior Skull Honor Society. He is a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon and has held multiple positions within the Chapter, including Scholarship Chair, Brother Guard for the Standards Board, and Vice President of Finance. He is currently the Executive Vice President for the Chapter. Dustin was also a member of the Sophomore Owl Honor Society, where he served as the Secretary. On campus, Dustin is going into his third semester working as a teaching assistant for the University of Maine School of Economics.
For future plans, Dustin is considering pursuing a graduate program in Economics or International Trade following completion of his schooling at the University of Maine. He is currently looking at schools in the Boston area. He looks forward to hearing any Skulls that have either practiced a profession of Economics or a similar field. James Lyons is working towards a Bachelors of Science in biochemistry and a Bachelors of Arts in political science. James grew up in Yarmouth, Maine after being born in Massachusetts. At the University of Maine he has been heavily involved in the Speech and Debate team as well as the University of Maine Student Government. Additionally, James has spent time volunteering in Dr. Julie Gosse’s lab researching the health effects of arsenic.
James hopes to go to law school and to be a major player in the concentration of environmental and health policy. James would like to hear anyone involved with a law profession or environmental or health policy. James can be contacted at james.lyons@umit.maine.edu.

Tavian MacKinnon is from the great town of New Gloucester, Maine. He attended Saint DominicRegional High School in Auburn, Maine. Tavian is pursuing two degrees inPolitical Science and United States History with a minor in Native American studies. Tavian is proud to be the President for the Class of 2010 Senior SkullHonor Society. He is a brother of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and has held suchpositions as Noble Ruler (President), Vice-Noble Ruler of Planning (VicePresident), and Philanthropic Chair. Tavian is currently the InterfraternityCouncil President for the University of Maine Greek system. Tavian has also held such positions as the Fair Elections Practice Commissioner, a Greek Peer Educator, and fraternity liaison for the Class of 2010, and has been a member of the College Republicans.
For future plans, Tavian is considering entering law school in the Washington D.C. area with a desire to get involved in politics. Tavian looks forward to chatting with any alumni who has both worked in D.C. or entered politics. He can be contacted at tavian.mackinnon@umit.maine.edu.

Owen McCarthy is a biological engineering student hailing from Patten, Maine. He came from a humble background and entered the University of Maine as a first generation college student. For the Class of 2010 Senior Skull Honor Society Owen is the Alumni Relations Director. On campus, Owen is currently the President of the University of Maine Student Government serving the undergraduates of the university. Owen is a proud brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon and has held multiple fraternity positions, including Vice President of Recruitment and Chapter President. Additionally, Owen served the Class of 2010 Council as the class agent leveraging support for the class gift. The last two summers Owen spent interning with Ashland Inc as a chemical sales intern for the paper and water treatment industries.
For future plans, Owen wants to work in the bio-tech, chemicals, or oil industries. Eventually he wants to obtain a high-end MBA transitioning into a consulting role hoping to one day move into a corporate executive position. Owen would appreciate hearing from any Skullumni who have transitioned into a leadership role from industry or who have insight in what it takes to be an effective professional leader. Ian McKinnon is a Civil Engineering major and Business Administration minor from Bangor, Maine. He is the Vice-President of The 2010 Senior Skull Class. Ian is a brother of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity where he currently serves as President. He remains also active in two engineering groups: the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Without Borders.
Ian is planning to pursue graduate studies in Transportation Engineering after graduation. Ian looks forward to hearing from any Skull alumni with a Civil Engineering background. He can be contacted at ian.mckinnon@umit.maine.edu.

Abtin Mehdizadegan is studying political science at the University of Maine. He calls Presque Isle home, but was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, and now lives in North Carolina. On campus he has held a number of Student Government positions including the Vice President of Student Entertainment. He also serves the Alpha Delta service fraternity as a dedicated brother.

Joseph Moran is a Marketing Major from New Gloucester, Maine. Joe is very involved on campus including serving as the President of the on-campus student body, leading the UMaine Speech and Debate Team to three regional titles, and also marketing Student Government Inc. as the Director of External Affairs.
After graduation Joe hopes to enter the work environment finding a job where he could put his Marketing education and experience to use somewhere in the New England area. He would love to get any advice in pursuing this goal and can be reached at joseph.moran@umit.maine.edu.

Billy Roy is an English and French double major from Frenchville, ME. He's the current Vice President of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at UMaine. At Beta, he's also held the positions of Scholastic Chairman and Alumni Relations Chairman. Billy enjoys
writing articles for the style and culture section of the Maine Campus Newspaper and is a member of both the Sigma Tau Delta English Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In the fall semester, he will be completing a research
course in preparation to be a peer writing tutor at the UMaine Writing Center.
Billy plans to attend Graduate School at Dartmouth College or

Justin Zang is a Vocal Music Education Major from Wiscasset, ME. Justin has loved spending 4 years at the University of Maine, and plans to stay on and attend Graduate School at UMaine, for a degree in Choral Conducting. When Justin isn't in the classroom, he's out and about with one his many choral groups that he is a part of. He tours regularly with the Maine Steiners and the University of Maine Singers, and is excited for his final year of Undergraduate studies.
