Hi everyone, there isn’t much to report this time, but what appeared was all sports-related news. And that’s OK—but what about the rest of you who are not involved in sports?

Both Vicki Tolton Brown and Ashley N. Waters were inducted into the University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame in early September. Vicki was a track and field star at UMaine and holds six UMaine records. She was a two-time NCAA championship competitor and was named the America East’s most outstanding outdoor track athlete in 2010. Ashley, who was twice an All-America East selection, was the 2008 league player of the year and captained UMaine’s softball team for two years. She received the M Club’s Dean Smith Award in 2009, and is now coaching at Boston University.
Mary Nadeau G is Nokomis Regional High School’s principal and has also provided play-by-play coverage for the school’s field hockey and basketball games. She has been a teacher, coach, and principal at the school, and now she also shares her love of sports with Nokomis Warrior Broadcasting, a club that operates at the school.
Goaltender Ben Bishop signed a deal with the Dallas Stars, where he will spend the next six seasons. Ben helped lead the Black Bears to the 2007 NCAA Frozen Four appearance and later played with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Los Angeles Kings.
