REUNION October 26-28 at Homecoming
Hearty Maine Hello from Wiesbaden, Germany! I hope everyone is having a good spring.
Congratulations to Marc Halsted on being named Spring Coach of the Year of a boys’ team by The Forecaster in July 2017. His team, the Yarmouth Clippers, reached the program’s first Class B state championships. This is Marc’s second time to be honored in this way, as he also received it in 2010. After graduating from UMaine, where he played as an infielder, he was a sportswriter for a short time. He has coached with Yarmouth since 2007, and led them to playoffs each of his first 10 seasons. He also served as Yarmouth’s ice hockey coach for a time. Marc lives in Brunswick and teaches social studies at Yarmouth High School.
Peter Lodge ‘98G, ’08 Ph.D. is an adjunct professor of history at the University of Maine at Augusta in Bangor. He is also a supporter of the Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine.
