Caroline Curtis graduated with an additional degree from Maine Maritime Academy in May. She has received her 3rd Mate Unlimited Tonnage license and completed the requirements to be a Tankerman Person-in-Charge, a Dangerous Liquid Person-in-Charge, and a Medical Person-in-Charge. Caroline hopes to go to work as a deck officer on a tanker.
Brian M. Flynn signed a one-year contract with the Texas Stars in June 2017. Hilary Maxim was inducted into the Old Town High School Athletic Hall of Fame with the 2017 class. She was a track and field state champion and holds school records for the 800 indoor and the outdoor 800 and 1,600. Samantha Paradis was elected mayor of Belfast in November 2017, ousting the city’s four-term mayor. She is working as a registered nurse at Waldo Country General Hospital. Lindsay Norton has joined Hometown Health Center’s Newport location as a family nurse practitioner. After graduating from UMaine, she received her Master of Science in nursing degree from Husson University. Heidi Morin G, who earned her master’s in food science and nutrition in 2012, has been working with the Maine CDC WIC Nutrition Program since 2013. Saylor “Sally” Brown moved to Los Angeles in April 2017 and is working as part of the management team at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
