Congratulations to Rob Moody G, who was named president and executive director of Good Will-Hinckley, reports the Bangor Daily News. Rob has nearly 30 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, coach, principal, and director of operations and education. “As a career Maine educator, I am proud to have the opportunity to lead one of our state’s most historic education institutions,” he stated.
President Donald Trump has nominated Maine Superior Court Justice Lance Walker to the federal court, reports the Bangor Daily News. Lance became a Superior Court Justice in November 2015 and has nearly 20 years of legal experience as a judge and attorney.
Shannon Wood Byers ’06 G, ’13 M.B.A. is an advisor at the Ellsworth Small Business Development Center, helping entrepreneurs in Hancock and Washington counties start and grow businesses. She previously owned a dove release and dog grooming business, in addition to having 20 years of research experience in the biomedical field developing new products and services for The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor.
Brent Davis was nominated to the Maine District Court, reports the Bangor Daily News. Brent serves as chief legal counsel to Gov. Paul LePage ’75G and was previously an assistant district attorney and first district attorney for the Somerset and Kennebec County District Attorney’s office.
Congratulations to Kate Vickery on her new role as executive director of Make-A-Wish Maine, reports Mainebiz. Kate’s vast non-profit experience includes 12 years serving the Make-A-Wish Maine chapter in various leadership roles, including fundraising, event and volunteer management, and marketing and communications.
