Greetings, classmates!
I have lots of news to share with you this time around.
First, congratulations to Alfred “Chip” Haskell III, who was honored as the Maine Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers Young Civil Engineer of the Year for 2019. Another award winner from our class, Jessie Wing, received the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce’s Customer Service Stardom Award for her amazing work as a labor and delivery nurse at Inland Hospital in Waterville. Congrats also to Emma G. Rose (née Potvin), who published her first novel, Nothing’s Ever Lost, which is a young adult fantasy novel.
We have another accomplished artist in our class, Kat Johnson ’12G, who recently had an exhibit of her work displayed in Bangor — the exhibit was her relief print work, which is art she makes by pressing a stamp-like block onto lightweight paper.
In other career news, classmate Todd Sanders G has been hired as superintendent of SAD 58. Brock Libby, M.D. has returned to Maine to use his extensive medical background to support LGBTQ+ youth by working at the gender clinic at Maine Medical Center. Lastly, I am happy to report an article that came across my desk about Michelle Morneault Reesman ’12G, who teaches Kindergarten at Old Town Elementary School, and utilizes her school’s unique outdoor learning initiative with her students.
Great work, everyone, and congratulations!
Please keep the updates coming!
