UMaine President Joan Ferrini-Mundy has appointed a Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to advise campus leadership and report on the University’s efforts and actions to ensure inclusive excellence.
The 30-member council is co-chaired by Vice President Kimberly Whitehead, the president’s chief of staff, and Dr. Susan McKay, founding director of the Maine Center for Research in STEM Education and professor of physics. The standing committee of the President’s Office will advise the President and members of the President’s Cabinet on matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of Maine.
