Tom Hanscom became director of football operations last fall. He was student manager for the Black Bears, and afterwards continued with the team in various capacities.
Jeremy Peña, former shortstop for the Black Bears, plays for the Houston Astros in the minor league team.
A Boren Fellowship is enabling Tiffany Tanner to study Russian in Belarus. Tiffany, a graduate student at UMaine’s School of Policy and International Affairs, said that her goal is to work in public service.
