Hello, classmates! We are pleased to be able to update you on our 70th Reunion plans for this year! We are going to try something a little different, that will hopefully allow more classmates to participate. On October ? we will meet virtually via Zoom to see each other's faces, catch up with each other, reminisce, tackle some class business, and celebrate our Reunion. The trek to Orono is a long one for most of us and while we would love to meet in person, a virtual meeting seems like the best option this year! We hope many of you
who live in other parts of the country or world will be able to join us! If you aren’t familiar with Zoom, possibly a friend or family member could help you get set up. There will also be an option to call on the phone to be part of the conversation! Watch your mail and email for more details on how to attend or call Ashley
Twombly at the Alumni Association for more info at 207-581-1144.
Senior Alumni will of course still be hosting the Senior Alumni Reunion on campus September 8-10 and we encourage as many 1952 classmates that can attend in person to do so! The Alumni office will seat us all together at the luncheon and dinner!
An update on our Class Scholarship Fund: As of 3/31/2021, the principal value of our fund was $155,991 and the market value was $201,070. Thank you to all who have supported this fund over the years and for any donations made in the future. Our scholarship is currently awarded to descendants of our class and helps multiple students each year. We should continue to be very proud!
Let us know if you have any news for our next column and we hope you can join our Reunion Zoom call in October!
