Class of 2005 Winter 2022 Class Note

How’s it looking outside your window? Here in the National Capital Region, it could be a few feet of snow or flip-flop weather, depending on the day. We highly recommend this time of year for visiting, however — no giant mosquitos or humidity you can cut with a knife. It was wonderful to see the museums full of patrons and venues back in action over the summer, though!
I have a few new jobs for our classmates to report! Michael Morrison has a newly expanded role as senior director of external communications for hospitals in the Mass General Brigham healthcare system. Shaun Leeper has joined Sebago Technics as manager of computer and information services. The company is based in South Portland and is an engineering and land development consulting firm. It was announced that Adam Bither was promoted to vice president, financial consultant at Katahdin Financial Services, where he has worked since 2011. Congratulations to all!
The restructuring of the UMaine Men’s Basketball team continues to make the news with Chris Markwood hired as the head coach. Chris brings a great deal of coaching experience to the role, and it is wonderful to have a Maine native and alum of the program at the helm!
Ivi Nwosu has joined the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. He is one of eight new members to join the board. Ivi was involved in many campus organizations while a collegian (including playing both football and track) and is currently a vice president and regional manager at Citizens Bank in the Greater Boston area.
Hope you are staying happy, healthy, and safe! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have news to share.
