As the seasons change again, it’s time to catch up with your fellow 2001 classmates!
Angela Fileccia G has found her new career home right on the Orono campus. Last August she became the director of the University of Maine Counseling Center. She’s been working in the behavioral health space for over 20 years.
Having published her fourth book, Ramat Oyetunji (photo) was selected as one of the speakers at the 2023 Annual Conference on Financial Education. The title of her most recent book is One Year After F.I.R.E.
Late last fall, Maria Girouard ’12G was elected to a four-year term on the Tribal Council for the Penobscot Nation. The council consists of 12 members with half being elected every two years.
Matt Grondin started a new position as senior director of marketing and communications at the Maine Community Foundation, whose mission is to bring people and resources together to build a better Maine through more than $50 million in annual grantmaking, impact, and connections with organizations that serve to strengthen Maine communities. Previously, Matt was director of communications and public affairs at ecomaine, Maine’s leader in recycling and waste management. He lives in Cumberland with his wife (also a communications professional) and daughter.
