Hello, Class of 2020! It’s hard to believe it has been over four years since our time at UMaine came to an (abrupt) end! Since then, many of you have been up to so much!
Many personal accomplishments have been made, and many weddings will take place this summer! Jessie Sweeney and Jake Rosenblatt were to be wed in June. Celine Bolduc ‘22G and Jackson Weeks ‘17 are set to be married on August 3rd. Kayla Hayward and Jake Black are scheduled for August 17th!
Last summer was also one of weddings with Kelsey Brooks ‘21 and Chris Ferguson’s ’19 wedding in Pennsylvania, and Meredith Stephens and Devin Judd’s wedding in Belfast, ME.
The Class of 2020 former Black Bears are continuing to excel in athletics with hockey alum Mitch Fossier finishing his fourth pro season with a new team of the Atlanta Gladiators, Ryan Smith with a record-breaking season with the Adirondack Thunder, and Tim Doherty transitioning to Europe with S.G. Cortina Hafro in Italy.
Academic and professional achievements are no stranger to the Class of 2020 with many advanced degrees being obtained. Jessie Sweeney graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Matthew Stenger is working as a credit analyst specialist at Farm Credit East and is an active member of the Young Professionals Group within his corporation.
