Class of 2005 Class Note

I hope everyone is nice and warm in Maine and around the world. Team Gauvin continues to be located in Germany, and we have loved having visitors (including Maine Black Bear alums). We will soon be off to our next adventure, and I will perhaps have an easier time getting to our 20th Reunion! Can you believe it? One hundred fifty years of the Alumni Association and 20 years of awesomeness from the Class of 2005.

Speaking of awesomeness, congratulations to Kim Corbitt on her new role as executive vice president, chief people and operations officer for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Footprint Center. Sounds like a perfect job for an amazing Black Bear basketball player!

Another new job announcement came about Bob Lightbody, who was hired as road supervisor for the unorganized territory in Franklin County (Maine). Bob started the gig by reviewing roads throughout the footprint. Franklin County was hit hard by heavy rains and flooding, so I’m sure he’ll have plenty to keep him busy. Congrats!

Looking forward to writing about what is happening with you and sharing where in the world we are headed next (when we know!). Stay safe, happy, and healthy! Prost!
