Congratulations to Heather Hughes Brown ’95, whose daughter, Paige, a Bangor High School senior, won a first-place Medal of Distinction for Global Good in the Intel Science Talent Search. Paige, who presented a study on the water quality of Bangor-area streams with high E. coli and phosphate levels, is developing a cost-effective filter to remove phosphate from stormwater systems. She conducted her research as part of Bangor High’s STEM Academy, under the direction of Cary James ’86G.
