The University of Maine Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 will return to Orono for a traditional in-person commencement ceremony. Undergraduate students will return on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. and graduate students will return on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
Traditional commencement activities, including large, in-person activities, were not possible for these graduates due to pandemic related public health guidance. The campus community is excited to welcome back Class of 2020 and 2021 graduates to celebrate their achievements.
UMaine continues to follow civil and University of Maine System COVID-19 health and safety guidance. The university’s latest safety practices are available at umaine.edu/return. Undergraduates who wish to participate can RSVP at this link and graduates who wish to participate can RSVP at this link no later than February 18, 2022.
