On Friday, January 24th, Black Bear alumni will receive an email with the subject line “UM Alumni Impact Survey” inviting them to participate in an online survey. Please participate!
The survey is a key part of a study commissioned by the Alumni Association to document the educational, economic, cultural, civic, and community roles and influences of its 109,000 members.
The Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center, led by researchers Philip Trostel, Mariya Pominova, and Megan Bailey (above), is conducting the study using a combination of online and mailed surveys and telephone interviews. Some alumni received the survey in early January as part of a preliminary launch.
The study is being funded through a generous grant from Maine Savings Federal Credit Union. Results will be released publicly in late March.
