Our June 18 mini reunion has been postponed to some time in the future with no schedule until the pandemic is over. Remember to cancel your hotel reservations at the Holiday Inn by calling 207-775-2311.
A student crisis fund has been established to help UMaine students caught up in the wake of corona. Our class fund has contributed $500 which is matched by the UMaine Foundation through an anonymous donor. Here is a link if you want more information or to contribute.
The crisis fund is being overseen by the Office of Student Life, processing and fulfilling student request applications for financial assistance during this difficult time. Uses of the funds have ranged from internet services to students who did not previously have access, to insulin for medical needs, and much more. Over $125,000 in critical support has been raised so far and funds are being dispersed as quickly as possible.
Our $10,000 donation to establish the Kenneth Allen Scholarship fund has been matched ($2,000) by the Foundation. Work on repairing the Page Museum silo that we sponsored was partially completed in the fall and will resume at some point this year. See Page Museum website (https://umaine.edu/pagefarm/)
