Hello, Class of 2003! Happy fall! As I write this, my family is hoping to make it up for Homecoming this October with our newest little Black Bear in tow. Going to try instilling the UMaine love early—especially since we live in UNH’s backyard! Hope to see you there! Here are the latest updates on our classmates:
Nathan Cotnoir has joined the board of directors for MaineGeneral Health. He is vice president and commercial banking officer for Camden National Bank, and also serves various boards and committees for local organizations, including the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, Gardiner Main Street, and Kennebec Valley YMCA. Nathan was also awarded the 2016 Cynergy Young Professional Kenney Award from the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Of 225 runners from Maine in this April’s Boston Marathon, our very own Tracy Guerrette was among the top finishers. She was the second Maine woman and 148th women overall to complete the storied race. Congrats to Tracey!
Lisa Liberatore ’05G published Power of Transparency, a book that includes both personal and professional lessons she learned from building four businesses, becoming a mom, and going from happily married to happily divorced.
Lisa started with Baxter Tea Company, a coffee and tea company, and added investment real estate. She founded Lisa’s Legit Burritos, which has locations in Gardiner and Augusta, ME, and more recently co-founded CoVort, Bangor’s only coworking space. Lisa is also a managing partner of Fractional Executives of ME, a small business consulting company, with associate professor Jason Harkins of the Maine Business School. Finally, Heather Cressey Furth gets another big mention for delivering the commencement addresses at this year’s graduation ceremonies! Heather and her husband Abe Furth ‘07 are the owners of Woodman’s Bar & Grill, Verve Burritos, and the Orono Brewing Co.
