Happy fall, y’all! Or, should I say, “glucklich Herbst” (approximately)! The Gauvin family has moved from the Midwest (U.S.) to Bavaria (Germany), bringing along our Black Bear spirit and sense of adventure! Should you find yourself across the pond, please look us up! In the meantime, here is news from our class:
Chris Tanis has been named the head ice hockey coach for John Bapst High School. He previously was the team’s assistant coach. Mike Bisson G, has accepted a position with the Maine Principals’ Association as an assistant executive director. Shaunessy Saucier is returning to Maine to become the owner and director of the Black Bear Elite field hockey club. Shaunessy, an Old Town native, has spent the past eight seasons coaching at Bryant University.
Congratulations to Kris MacCabe for being named Maine Warden of the Year! We told a new acquaintance in Kansas that we were from Maine and he asked if we knew the wardens from North Woods Law! Brian J. O’Coin has joined KeyBank as vice president and senior business banking relationship manager covering the southern Maine market from the greater Portland area to Portsmouth, NH. Hans Carlson Ph.D. joined the Blue Hill Heritage Trust (BHHT) as executive director in November 2016, moving back to Maine from Connecticut.
Erik Gundersen is engaged to Ellen Eldridge. Erik is working as a policy advisor to the speaker of the House in the Maine House of Representatives.
Have a wonderful fall, Class of 2005! Looking forward to hearing more from you soon.
