REUNION October 26-28 at Homecoming
I had a nice long email from Dori Hawkes Robinson catching us up on the last 45(!) years. Right after graduation, John took a job with Johns Manville Corporation and stayed with them throughout his career in sales, marketing, and management all over the country, settling in the Seattle area in 1985. Dori stayed home with their two children, Jenny and John, for several years and then taught special ed for 33 years at Issaquah High School. They both retired in 2013 and now enjoy traveling, golf (John) and reading and writing (Dori). They have six grandchildren in Seattle and Pittsburgh. They made a trip to Orono two years ago and were amazed to see some things so different (The Bear’s Den) and some things the same (Talmar Woods).
Stephanie Bubar Knight retired from teaching middle school at Falmouth Middle School. Guy Piper received the Diamond Centennial Award from Lion Clubs International for recruiting and maintaining new Lions members during the centennial celebration year for the Lions. Guy lives in Monmouth. Carl Parker has left his position as Bangor High School boys’ basketball coach.
Always looking for more updates. Drop me or the Alumni office a line.
