Hello, ’76ers! I’m hoping you are all doing well and are having a good winter! It’s hard to believe that it’s been 46 years since we graduated from UMaine. When our column first started, we had lots of announcements about new jobs, marriages, and babies. As the years went by, we saw promotions, moves around the world, and more babies, and now we are seeing retirements and traveling. Please send an update about what you’ve been up to. Your classmates would love to hear from you.
Tim Mayo wrote on our Class of ’76 Facebook page (UMaineclass1976) that he is retired and living in Portland. Over the last two years he had a new house built and both his kids got married. He’s volunteering two days a week and generally staying out of trouble for the most part!
Inducted into the Maine Press Association Hall of Fame last fall was Earl Brechlin. Congratulations!
We received a nice thank-you note from Natalie Wicks ’21, who was the recipient of the Class of 1976 Scholarship. Natalie is from Readfield, ME, and graduated with a nursing degree from UMaine. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.
