Richard Glueck G is former president of the New England Steam Corporation, a nonprofit dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and operation of the Maine Central Railroad’s 470 locomotive. Richard and a group of fellow volunteers, who range in age from engineering students to retirees, have been working on the locomotive, which is now disassembled in Hancock. Richard’s daughter Kendra ’04 is also involved in the project. The locomotive once transported passengers between Boston and Bar Harbor, it but stopped running in 1954.
Also in the news is trial lawyer Philip Coffin, who joined Verrill as a partner last summer. He previously practiced law at Lambert Coffin.
Finally, congratulations to Christopher Roberts, who was inducted into the Maine Press Association Hall of Fame last fall. Chris is publisher of The Lincoln County News and president of Lincoln County Publishing Company, the newspaper’s parent company.
When he was growing up, Chris’s family ran The Lincoln County News, so he helped in the shop. He’s the fourth generation of his family to own and publish the paper and has been a part of the team for over 44 years.
