Hello, classmates,
I hope you enjoyed your summer!
Kim Randall McBride ’83G writes that she has started her second year as the assistant principal at Windham Middle School. Her son graduated from Columbia University last year, and lives and works in California. Her daughter, a recent graduate of Windham High School, just began her first year at the University of California at Berkeley. Kim shares, “Now that our nest is empty, maybe we will make it to Homecoming this year!”
Brenda LaRoche Whitney writes that she is still a realtor, and still loves what she does after being in the real estate business for 35 years. She is presently working with the Portside Real Estate Group. Brenda’s husband, Chris, continues to captain an ocean-going tug and barge unit based out of New York. Their son, Tucker, is a recent graduate of Yarmouth High School and has completed his first year at UMF. Still at home are their five-year-old boxer, Barney, and their cat, Gilligan. Brenda writes, “I still love to see my buddies from UMO and see some of them regularly for girls’ nights out down here in southern Maine. We manage to get to our cottage enough to keep me happy. I’d like to boat, garden, and dance more, but will settle for what I can fit into a busy life.”
I hope some of us are able to attend Homecoming! Keep in touch. Let us know how you are doing. It is very likely that your college friends think of you and would love to know the happenings in your life.
