Summer is in full flower here in New England and it’s a great time to take a hike, a bike ride, or a dip at the lake or the beach. Hope everyone in the Class of ’82 is enjoying the warm weather. Not too much to report this time — please reach out to me with your news so we can share it with everyone.
Our classmate Greg Dufour was in the news last fall in his role as president and CEO of Camden National Bank, announcing the bank’s $50,000 donation to provide support to the Lewiston-Auburn community in response to the tragic violence that occurred there. Thanks to Greg and his organization for stepping up to help the people of L-A at a time of great sadness and healing. A quick look at Greg’s online profile indicates that he retired in December — congratulations on starting the next chapter, Greg!
Ellsworth High School Assistant Principal Rebecca Martin Wright ’85G was named Assistant Principal of the Year by the Maine Principals’ Association. Rebecca has been at EHS since 1986, teaching English as well as vocal music and dance in her role as coordinator of the Visual and Performing Arts Academy. She moved into her administrative role in 2017. Congratulations, Rebecca, on your well-deserved recognition!
