Hope everyone had a healthy and prosperous year in 2022. For those who attended Homecoming for our class’s 40th Reunion, hope you had a great time reconnecting. As we welcome another winter, our classmates continue to distinguish themselves.
Bangor attorney Edmond J. Bearor was appointed by Governor Janet Mills to serve as Penobscot County’s probate court judge to fill the unexpired term of his predecessor, who was appointed as district court judge. A well-respected figure in the Bangor legal arena, he is best known for his work with municipalities throughout northern and coastal Maine. The Jay native earned his law degree at the UMaine School of Law in Portland. Congratulations to Judge Bearor on this exciting appointment.
Rhonda Ricker Irish ’09G retired from her position as town manager in Wilton, ME, after 13 years of service. According to an article in the Kennebec Journal, Rhonda noted that she will miss helping address residents’ concerns and witnessing the town’s transformation, including the downtown revitalization project. Best wishes to Rhonda for a well-earned retirement.
Julie Dunnett Brooks was promoted to the position of chief risk officer at Gorham Savings Bank. She previously served as senior vice president and senior risk officer for the bank. Julie has more than 30 years’ experience and joined Gorham Savings Bank in 2011. Congratulations, Julie!
