Winter is here and even though I have been wearing turtleneck sweaters since October, it’s time for a few more layers!
In June 2024, New Ventures Maine (NVME) hired Suzanne Senechal-Jandreau to the role of program director for the organization. In this role, Suzanne is responsible for developing and evaluating NVME’s programs in career development, small business, and financial literacy as well as managing statewide services and partnerships. Prior to this position, she had worked for NVME in Aroostook County since 1997 in a number of roles.
Jonathan “Jon” Ziegra retired in December 2024 as the Boothbay Regional Water District superintendent and general manager. His career with the district was only supposed to be a “short stop” (he told the Boothbay Register) but he ended up staying in the job for 25 years. Over the years, his responsibilities have grown with the expanding size of the district. He’s planning to spend his retirement living in close proximity to his children and grandchildren and enjoying life at his own pace.
It does seem like many of the updates I get from classmates lately have been retirement stories and sometimes it’s hard to believe this is us now. I would be interested in hearing from some of you who may have had more non-traditional lives and careers in the years since you left the college of our hearts always. Please tell me about it!
Stay warm, keep your steins filled with good cheer, and most importantly, stay in touch!
