Thinking of you and your families during this unprecedented crazy time and
wishing you all well.
Our oldest child, Kayla, is at UMaine! She is living in Penobscot Hall, the same
dorm and floor where Sheri Badger and I lived our sophomore year. Sheri and I
believe that Kayla is in the same room as our then-next door dorm neighbor and
friend, Rich Cleary. We know she will love UMaine as we did.
Speaking of roommates, Amy Daviau Brockner G recently emailed me. It was
great to hear from her after so many years. She recently became the assistant
superintendent for instruction in the district she works in located in the state of
New York. Amy has two sons.
Peter Chase ’92G also emailed me with his news. Peter and his wife, Jenny, just
completed their 20th year at The Pennington School, a college prep school for
students in 6th-12th grades, located in Pennington, NJ. Peter teaches German.
The 2020-2021 school year marks the first year that all four Chases will be at
Pennington. Jenny is an associate in the Office of Admission, their son Nikolas is
in 10th grade, and their son Bryson is in 6th grade. Peter will be filming lessons
for the College Board for AP German Language and Culture. In the summer of
2020, he also began writing two columns for the German-language newspaper
Neue Presse USA, one on teaching small children German and the other on the
origin of German words. Thanks for writing in, Peter!
Jon Bach writes that he is still working in Quality at eBay but now he is in
Marketing Technologies. Great to hear from you, Jon.
Mark White G was awarded the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrators
Association (MIAAA) Leadership Award this past May. At the MIAAA 50th
conference Mark became the president of MIAAA. Mark works at Presque Isle
High School.
Please email, text, or call me with your news! I would love to share your updates
with our classmates!
