Midcoast Maine book lovers, rejoice! Elizabeth Burnett opened a bookshop in Searsport last year. Elizabeth decided to change her career focus from law to something more meaningful and personal post COVID. Even the name of the store, Anodyne, has significant meaning for her — a noun referencing “something that soothes, calms, or comforts.” Elizabeth has planned Anodyne to be a family-centric location which includes a children’s section, adult readers of all levels, and even a used book section. Congratulations, Elizabeth on your successful endeavor!
