Greetings, classmates!
I hope this column finds you well. I have a few classmates to update you on this time around!
First, congratulations to Betsy Webb Ed.D., Bangor school superintendent, who is in the running for the prestigious Women in School Leadership award! She is among three district superintendents in the running and the only one from Maine to be nominated. According to The School Superintendents Association, this award recognizes educators for their “leadership in meeting learning needs of students, organizational communication ability, and community involvement.”
Another congratulations goes out to Brooke Anderson Robertson, who was recently inducted into the Fryeburg Academy Hall of Excellence! Brooke was an exceptional field hockey player during her time there. During her time as a Black Bear, she also played field hockey while getting her degree in kinesiology. She currently lives in Texas and is in the Air Force.
Elise Baldacci has been named legislative director for Governor Janet Mills. Previously Elise worked as vice president of government relations for the Maine Credit Union League. She currently lives in South Portland.
Lastly, Alfred Haskell III has been promoted to project manager within CES, a Maine-based firm of engineers, environmental scientists, and land surveyors, based in Brewer. Alfred joined CES after graduating with a degree in civil engineering. He worked as a project engineer and more recently is also a project manager.
That is all I have for you this time, classmates. Please keep the updates coming!
