Greetings, Class of 2008!
I am once again excited to share some classmate updates with you – please keep them coming!
First off, some news about Matt and Stephanie McCoy Mulligan, who have certainly been keeping busy! Matt, who has played for 10 NFL teams over the past nine years, is bringing that expertise back to Orono as a volunteer coach for the UMaine football team. On top of that, Matt was inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2021 in September. Congrats, Matt, and welcome back to UMaine! Stephanie, the owner of McSea Books, is working on a book about Matt and his incredible journey called Just a Kid from Maine. Stephanie’s books, How to Catch a Keeper and Find a Moose with Me, were chosen for a Best Reads list for Science and STEM by The Children’s Book Council and Every Child a Reader. This is a great honor; congrats, Stephanie! Matt and Stephanie live in Lincoln with their three children, Clara, Emmett, and Lena.
Congratulations to Jessica Aylward, who was named Bulfinch Company’s financial reporting team’s assistant vice president, controller. Jessica has more than a decade of experience in finance and accounting and was most recently controller for Laz Parking Realty Investors.
Lastly, congratulations to classmate Lori Spruce, an art teacher at Brewer High School, who was recently named Secondary Art Educator of the Year by the Maine Art Education Association. She has been an art teacher for more than 12 years.
Thanks, everyone! See you in the next column!
