Patrick Marass has joined Bernstein Shur in its Portland office. Patrick is an associate in the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution, and energy and environmental practice groups. He previously was a legal intern with the Conservation Law Foundation and a law clerk for the Honorable Associate Justice Ellen A Gorman of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
Ben Bishop and his wife, Andrea, welcomed their first child, Ben Bishop IV, in May. Ben is still with the Dallas Stars, playing for their new coach and fellow Black Bear, Jim Montgomery ’93.
In other sports news, Tyson McHatten, a member of UMaine’s athletics department staff, was promoted to senior associate director of athletics/external operations. Tyson has served as chief spokesperson and media relations manager for UMaine’s sports since 2015. His additional responsibilities include media relations, social and digital media, and event management.
CES, a Maine-based firm of engineers, environmental scientists, and land surveyors, has promoted Chris Snowdeal to project manager in its Brewer office. Chris has nearly two decades of work experience assisting clients with building and life safety code review, building analysis and design, and more.
