Hello, oh-niners! I write to you from Bangor, ME, where I am enjoying what are to me the best parts of winter: candles, cozy blankets, time with family, baking, reading, and creating clean, crisp lines with my snowblower. Like a Zen garden, but in my driveway. My husband, Kevin Foss ’96, and I were also fortunate enough to take a wonderful trip to England and Scotland in December, just in time for the Christmas markets.
On this side of the pond, Peter Hallen CAS has become the superintendent of Waterville public schools after holding the assistant superintendent position for about a year. Prior to these positions, Peter served 22 years at the Mid-Maine Technical Center, also in Waterville, ME. A former superintendent of Lewiston Public Schools, Bill Webster CAS has been named assistant district director for Score Maine. Score is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that provides small business mentoring and education. Over in South Portland, ME, Brandon Blake has been promoted to project delivery engineering and design manager at Sebago Technics, an engineering firm. In the world of banking, Seth Poplaski has been hired as one of University Credit Union’s community engagement managers. The position is based out of Orono. Prior to UCU, Seth worked for Northern Light Health.
