Greetings, Class of 2013. It’s time to raise those steins to our 10-year Reunion! It was wonderful seeing some of you at Homecoming, and it is always a joy to see UMaine athletics chalk up some victories! Reflecting back on 10 years since we left UMaine, it is great to see the university continue to flourish.
Here are some updates on our classmates:
Tom Robinson, who is a CPA in Portland and a developer, purchased the historic St. Louis Church in Auburn, ME, and will be working with the Auburn architecture firm Platz Associates to turn the church into 20 one- and two-bedroom apartments. Thank you to Tom for finding new and creative ways to address Maine’s housing crisis.
Congratulations to our classmate, Nate Weeks, on his recent promotion. Nate has worked for New Hampshire-based Jewett Construction since March of 2017 as a pre-construction assistant and was recently promoted to the position of director of estimating. In his new role, Nate will be responsible for overseeing the junior and senior estimating staff and ensuring that all preconstruction opportunities are delivered with the exceptional quality Jewett’s clients have come to expect. Good luck in the new role, Nate!
Paige Eggleston recently celebrated two years as an attorney at Jenson Baird, a law firm in Portland, where she primarily handles labor and employment matters.
Dr. India Stewart Pappas and her husband, Alex Pappas ’12, are excitedly preparing to welcome their second child in late November 2023. India is an obstetrics and gynecology specialist at Pen Bay Medical Center.
Sam Miller recently started a new job at Andritz, working out of their Georgia office as a sales engineer in their recovery boiler division.
That’s all for now; hope everyone has a wonderful Maine winter. Please feel free to reach out with updates about yourself or our classmates so Laura and I can include them in upcoming columns. Cheers!
