Connor Smart is manager in the tax practice at Baker Newman Noyes. He joined BNN after graduation in 2016 and specializes in tax and compliance matters for nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations as well as other tax matters.
Ilunga Mutombo G, who previously served as a guidance counselor at Auburn Middle School and Edward Little High School in Auburn, became assistant principal at Lewiston Middle School last year. He has also coached football and basketball, guiding his team to a state championship in 2022.
Garrett Artman and Colin Graebert ’17 were among a group of music alums who collaborated on a choral tour, giving concerts in New England and New York. Garrett is director of music ministry at the Presbyterian Church of Yorktown, NY, and Colin teaches choral music at John Bapst High School in Bangor.
Ben King Ph.D. works in the lab in the Department of Molecular and Biomedical Sciences on the UMaine campus.
In football news, Spencer Emerson left Georgetown University in 2022, where he was running backs coach, to become assistant head football coach (offensive coordinator) at the University of Chicago.
Emma Fox G, ’20 Ph.D. is employed at Industrial Economics, Inc., and works on sustainability-based projects. She credits UMaine with giving students unique opportunities to gain valuable experience before entering their professional careers.
