Hey, Class of 2016! I hope you and your friends and families are all staying safe
during this crazy time. I have been working from home since March 2020 and
can’t say I’m in any rush to get back to the office anytime soon. I have also
started up a new pandemic-inspired sea glass collecting hobby. It’s been a great
way to get outside and enjoy some sunshine!
This will be my last time writing our class column, so please reach out to
abigail.zelz@maine.edu if this is something that you’re interested in taking on.
We need someone to write the class news for the magazine.
Here is some news I received about our classmates:
Christophe Mulumba-Tshimanga recently joined the Ottawa Redbacks in the
Canadian Football League. Unfortunately, their 2020 season has been delayed
due to coronavirus. Christophe was previously with the Edmonton Eskimos.
Shannon O’Neil Frye graduated as a Doctor of Audiology from UMass Amherst.
She was recently hired at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH, as an
audiologist.
David Patrick was a lead organizer of a rally to protest the death of George Floyd
in Bangor in June. David works for the Organization on Racial Equity and Justice.
Jonathan Colby was named the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office’s Deputy of the
Year.
Patrick Ricard is preparing for his fourth NFL season with the Baltimore Ravens.
He is also a newlywed whose wife, Hayley, is a physician’s assistant.
Whitney Lallas joined the law firm MittelAsen, LLC in Portland as an associate
attorney. She is focusing her practice on family law.
Kathleen Dunckel Ph.D. and her partner, Daniel, bought Belfast Brewery with the
goal of bringing the beloved brewery and the Three Tides bar next door back to
life.
