Steve Norton G created “Requiem,” a sound installation, at the Fields Pond Nature Center in Holden last winter. “Requiem” features the recorded sounds of birds and amphibians that have recently become extinct. Steve worked as a software engineer and jazz musician in the Boston area for 30 years before earning his Master of Fine Arts at UMaine. He created “Requiem” while completing his graduate studies, and is currently pursuing a career in teaching.
