Mark Muir ’21 is putting his B.A. in theatre (and dance minor) to work at the Penobscot Theatre in Bangor, where he assists with costume design, lighting, works on sets, and assists with many aspects of the shows at the theatre, most recently as front of house manager.
Mark also has his own business in costume design and designed the costumes for True North’s production of Silent Sky at UMaine’s planetarium last winter. A Bangor Daily News review of the production remarked, “While the technical demands of a show in a planetarium are far different from those of a production on stage, lighting designer Scout Hough, costume designer Mark Muir, and sound designer Christopher Duff deserve kudos for creating the look, feel and sound of the early 20th century.” See Mark’s website: memuir.design.
