Faye Gilbert, dean of the College of Business and Economic Development and professor of marketing at the University of Southern Mississippi, has been named the dean of the Undergraduate School of Business in the Maine Business School, effective March 1st. She takes over for Associate Dean Niclas Erhardt, who has been serving as interim dean since January of last year.
In her new role, Gilbert will work closely J. Michael Weber, dean of the Maine Business School’s graduate programs. Gilbert will be based in Orono, while Weber is based in Portland.
“It is an honor to be joining the team at the University of Maine,” Gilbert notes. “I am so impressed with the faculty and staff members in business and appreciate their engagement and commitment to excellence.”
Gilbert served as a dean at the University of Southern Mississippi for the last six years, and has previously served as business dean at Radford University and Georgia College. More information about Gilbert can be found here.
